Whilst Earl Grey tea is quintessentially British, the subtly sweet & citrusy flavours come from a small fruit grown in the Mediterranean called Bergamont. Used as an essential oil it gives black tea a lift. Its exact taste is hard to distinguish. We’d put it somewhere between lemon, orange & grapefruit, making this tea warm & bright in its flavour profiles.
