How can we put it? Pierre Troupel Red is nothing short of a masterpiece. Quite charmingly, this cuvée & its label are a tribute to the owner's grandfather, showcasing his refined Bleu d'Auvergne & piercing blue eyes. The wine’s garnet colour & nose of red forest fruits open up to reveal spices upon aeration. The mouth is fleshy, mature & round, with a finish that boasts a fresh & liquorice flavour.

Flavour profile
Tasting: A garnet colour, bouquet of red berries (blackberries,
raspberries, black cherries), revealing hints of spices when aired. The palate is full-bodied, mature and rounded. Exactly the same bouquet notes can be found on the palate with a fresh and liquorice final note.
The grapes are hand picked in crates from mid-September onwards, and are fully destemmed before being vinified. Fermentation takes place at 25°C, and the wine is matured the traditional way in stainless-steel vats.
